We have a fantastic opportunity for an Associate or Senior Associate lawyer to join the Real Estate team in our Bristol office. In this role you will have the opportunity to work on varied, high quality work for top clients with a particular focus on land and development work.

The practice

Osborne Clarke LLP have an outstanding reputation in Real Estate due to the quality and breadth of our client base and the value and complexity of the work we undertake. We have made a long-term investment in our Real Estate practice both in the UK and internationally, offering extensive expertise in residential-led development, regeneration, RE investment, RE funds, logistics, student accommodation, commercial development, telecommunication, utilities & energy and retail.

Developers rely on our strong expertise to see their developments through from concept to completion. We provide comprehensive advice across the entire project lifecycle and our team operate across areas from strategic land projects and immediate acquisitions through to affordable housing, build to rent / PRS sales, site set up, management structures and infrastructure agreements to name a few.

The practice is supplemented by strong Real Estate litigation, Construction, Planning, Tax and Plots / site set up departments and by OC Solutions, our award winning in-house legal innovations and technology team - all of which form part of our powerhouse development practice.

Our clients

Our practice centres on Living and Regeneration and we act for numerous market-leading developer and promoter clients (both PLC and SME businesses) on a national, multi service line panel basis. Our list of clients is impressive and includes - Barratt, Vistry, Crest, Taylor Wimpey, St Modwen, Places for People, Welbeck, Ptarmigan, Wates, Sovereign, Bloor, U&I, GLP, DTZ, Patrizia, Mirastar, M&G, Canary Wharf Group, Vodafone, PGIM, British Land and Greystar, to name a few.

The team

The Real Estate team is made up of over 80 lawyers, plus 21 Partners in the UK. The team works collaboratively in client teams across our UK offices and the Bristol team comprises a large number of partners and experienced lawyers, running some of our largest client relationships. Michelle McGurl (Partner) leads the development team and is the UK Practice Group Head for Projects, Real Estate and Finance.

Technical skills and experience

Due to the growth of the business and practice we are looking to appoint an Associate or Senior Associate to deal with a broad range of development matters as part of our market-leading team.

Experience of dealing with residential-led development work and strategic land projects (options, promotion agreements) is desirable, although not essential and we are willing to consider candidates with more or less experience.
