Description

We have a brand new opportunity for an ESG Data Analyst to join our Responsible Business team and support the Head of Responsible Business and Sustainability & CSR Manager in the delivery and maintenance of key ESG data projects. This is an exciting time to join the team following the arrival of our new Head of Responsible Business, Kate Millar, who joined OC in February.

We are looking for somebody to be based in our London, Bristol or Reading office on a 12 month fixed term contract.

What you'll do

Reporting in to our Sustainability & CSR Manager, key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining and continuously improving the firm's carbon monitoring through data gathering, analysis and reporting, including a record of methodology and any changes to emission factors as they occur.
  • Producing regular internal sustainability management reporting and analysis for the Sustainability Steering Group, Executive Board and Operations Board.
  • Supporting the firm's annual GHG inventory reporting and verification process, and recalculation of GHG emissions baseline and subsequent emissions data in line with OC's rebaselining policy.
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement and support business decisions to improve performance across the OC for Good framework.
  • Supporting the research, development and/or procurement of a reporting software platform as appropriate for the firm's OC for Good metrics.
  • Providing ad hoc support to OC's international businesses to implement and continually improve data collection processes and analysis.
  • Providing data and narrative reporting to support OC's Responsible Business statutory and voluntary submissions, benchmarking, bids, award nominations and annual impact report.
  • Providing secretariat support to the Sustainability Steering Group.
  • Any other duties that may be required to ensure the efficient operation of the sustainability reporting service.

What we're looking for

This role presents an exciting opportunity for a skilled ESG Data Analyst to contribute to the delivery of our ESG reporting and drive continuous improvements in our data processes.

We are looking for the below skills & experience for this role:

  • Awareness and experience of sustainability reporting and related standards and frameworks (GHG Protocol, SBTi Net Zero standard, TCFD, GRI etc)
  • Data science and analytical skills, drawing inferences and identifying trends
  • Highly proficient at using MS Excel and other programmes as appropriate to design databases and spreadsheets, manage data and produce a dashboard view of performance over time
  • Ability to maintain multiple records with a clear audit trail of data sources and calculation, and to produce clear reports with appropriate use of graphical and written information
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
