Description
After a long period of sustained
growth, we are looking to invest significantly in our Marketing and
Sales team which has led to the creation of a new role of Head of
Corporate Communications to be based in either London or Bristol.
This will be a key and transformative
role, supporting the firm's strategic objectives by line managing
the communications team to develop and execute a cohesive
communications plan.

What you'll do
Manage the implementation of the
firm's corporate communications strategy, policy and process for
both internal and external communications through a range of
existing (and new) channels, delivering innovative projects on
time and within budget.
Work directly with the UK Managing
Partner advising on internal communications to enhance engagement
with firm strategy and future vision.
Primarily a UK role, there will
also be responsibility to oversee the wider international
communications group including advising the International CEO.
Contribute to brand and corporate
identity strategy to ensure it remains distinctive in the market
and translates well across digital media.
Provide strategic communications
advice to senior management across business services (HR, IT,
Finance etc)
Line manage the Internal Comms team
and lead on improving the use of existing internal comms channels
and developing new ones to maximise employee engagement and
information flow throughout the business.
Lead and line manage the PR team
and ensure the firm has strong relationships with key press
contacts and opinion formers within financial/business and legal
press. Ensure all media engagement is appropriate and contributing
to the firm's communication and business objectives.
Liaise with Sector BD Managers, the
Head of Client Knowledge and the Campaigns Managers to ensure the
communications team is working appropriately to support the firm's
"go-to-market" strategy and key, priority projects.
Contribute to the Crisis Management
team on any incident or issue and manage the implementation of
subsequent communications internally and externally ensuring all
communications are well-managed and protect the firm's reputation.
Ensure key spokespeople are briefed
and prepared for any media engagement and act as a point of
escalation for media engagement as needed beyond current PR
contacts in the firm.
Oversee the firm's content across
all channels (including website and social) to ensure the firm
reputation is enhanced and protected.
What we're looking for
Proven track record of implementing
a cohesive communications plan in a senior communications role.
Significant people management
experience - able to lead/direct and motivate a variety of
professionals in the delivery of various corporate communication projects.
Significant project management and
effective change management experience.
Proven ability to advise and
influence senior management.
Significant strategic media
relations and internal comms experience preferably in a
legal/professional services or Partnership environment.
Ability to analyse complex business
challenges and formulate communications solutions.
Excellent interpersonal skills,
able to motivate and interact with people at all levels.
Exceptional verbal and written
communication skills.
