Description

Our Commercial Finance team has a new opportunity for a Finance Analyst to join them. You will assist in producing regular reporting packs, pricing requests and providing ad hoc analysis/support to the business. This will include, but not limited to, supporting with regular reporting both internally and externally on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis.

This a permanent position, based in our Bristol office with some home working.

What you'll do

The Finance analyst will work in a fast paced environment, providing analytical support to the Commercial Finance and Financial Reporting teams. You will deliver high quality financial information in a consistent format that is easy to interpret and analyse. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Work closely with the Commercial Finance team to help support profitability growth, pricing decisions and innovation to maximise profitability
  • Responsible for the investigation and resolution of financial queries from the business in a timely manner
  • Produce monthly management information packs and dashboards for the practice groups and service lines
  • Produce quarterly sector management information packs for the sector leaders
  • Produce client profitability dashboards for distribution to Client Relationship Partners
  • Produce monthly debt summary reports highlighting trends and variances
  • Contributing to budget, planning and forecast models and month end close
  • Assistance in financial year-end preparation and reporting, including collation of presentations and data for management meetings
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and support, client reporting and project involvement as required

About you

You will have experience within a similar role, it would be beneficial if this was from a legal or professional services background but is not a prerequisite.

  • Strong academic grades, with excellent numeracy and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work within a team or on own initiative
  • Good Excel and data manipulation skills
  • Studying towards a professional accountancy qualification
