Our Medical and Life Sciences team is seeking a lawyer
(NQ - 2 years PQE) to join the team in Bristol. The team is part of
the firm's Insurance Group and has a well-established client base,
acting for a number of market leading insurers in the provision of
healthcare services to insured health and social care organisations
and healthcare professionals. The team also acts directly for
private and charitable health and social care providers. The role
will involve dealing with medical malpractice claims, inquests and
Fitness to Practise issues. There will also be the opportunity to
assist in defending CQC prosecutions.
The Medical and Life Sciences Insurance team spans
London and Bristol and is linked with the General Liability team.
There are currently 2 Partners, 6 Senior Associates and 4
Associates, 1 Paralegal and 1 Trainee in the Medical and Life
Sciences team.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to

The role
Management and assisting with the management of
medical malpractice claims.
Assisting with the management of inquests and
attending hearings as a notetaker or advocate.
Assisting on Fitness to Practise investigations and
CQC prosecutions.
Delivering high quality and timely output to clients,
ensuring high levels of client service and alignment with agreed
working practices and client service level agreements.
Working to develop an environment of constant
improvement: enthusiastically sharing with and helping others; and
taking responsibility for aspects of team development, such as
intranet pages, training and induction, process improvement etc.
Capturing and collating required Management
Information in accordance with agreed practice for clients.
Contributing to the development and improvement of
the team's service, support, processes and procedures.
You will have the opportunity to attend client events

Knowledge, skills and experience
Legal Executive or Solicitor NQ - 2 years PQE
You will have a strong grounding in handling personal
injury claims and fast track litigation.
A good knowledge of legal procedures.
Able to deliver legal and commercial solutions and
establish collaborative working relationships with clients and
colleagues to provide an outstanding customer experience.
Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing.
Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
Able to manage client relationships and deliver
trusted relationships.
High level of confidentiality and integrity.
Able to adapt to shifting priorities and adapt plans accordingly.
