The Internal Communications team is a vital part of RPC's wider
Brand, Clients & Markets (BCM) department, which is at the heart
of driving our firm's profile and strategy. The BCM team, with over 70
members, plays a key role in shaping RPC's narrative both internally
and externally.
Location
On site at least 2 days mid week with Bristol as the anchor office.
The role
We are seeking a proactive and creative Internal Communications
Executive who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You
will be passionate about engaging employees and delivering clear,
impactful messaging across various channels. You should have
experience in managing multi-channel communication campaigns, possess
excellent writing skills, and a knack for building strong
relationships across all levels of the business.
As an Internal Communications Executive, you will work closely with
the Internal Communications Manager to deliver consistent, engaging
messaging to our people across all offices. You will be part of a
highly collaborative team, working alongside colleagues from PR,
Creative Services, and Business Development, as well as senior leaders
across the firm. Our team's mission is to ensure that every Partner
and employee understands our strategic direction and engages with our initiatives.
The role also involves collaboration across all our offices, ensuring
that communications are aligned and relevant in all regions. You will
have the opportunity to contribute to key internal projects and
campaigns, driving employee engagement and fostering a strong sense of
community within the firm. You will also work across a variety of
internal communications channels and expected to proactively propose
new and engaging ways of capturing our colleagues' attention.
The ideal candidate will:
Demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills,
with the ability to turn complex information into clear, engaging messages.
Be highly organised and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Have experience in professional services or a similar environment,
with an understanding of the unique communication needs in such a setting.
Be confident in working with senior stakeholders, including the
Executive Committee, to ensure alignment of internal messaging with
strategic priorities.
Exhibit strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a
passion for delivering results that drive employee engagement.
Be comfortable using digital tools and channels to communicate
effectively within a global organisation.
What you'll be doing
As an Internal Communications Executive, you'll play a pivotal role
in delivering engaging, clear, and consistent communications across
the firm. Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting campaigns: Assist in planning and
executing multi-channel communication campaigns that reinforce the
firm's strategic objectives, covering topics such as business
milestones, partner arrivals, and firmwide initiatives.
Intranet management: Act as an editor and content
contributor for RPC's intranet, keeping it updated with relevant and
engaging firmwide news.
Newsletter production: Collaborate with the
internal communications team to produce the weekly intranet round-up
newsletter, drafting, editing, and proofreading stories.
Town halls and executive communications: Assist in
the preparation of materials and scripts for firmwide town halls and
executive office updates, working closely with senior leaders to
communicate key messages.
Content development: Draft clear, concise, and
engaging internal communications, from business announcements to
change initiatives, ensuring alignment with firm objectives.
Event communication: Support the coordination and
communication for internal events, ensuring engagement across the
firm and reinforcing our strategic priorities.
Project support: Work with various departments and
teams to communicate business changes and new initiatives.
Cross-departmental collaboration: Work closely with
the BCM functions to ensure internal messages are aligned with
external activity, including partner joiners, client successes, and
major announcements.
Reporting and metrics: Prepare internal
communications reports for senior leadership, tracking engagement,
effectiveness, and areas for improvement.
Proofreading & editing: Provide copyediting and
proofreading support for internal documents and key publications
such as the Annual Insurance Review and Retail Compass.
