The role
We are looking for an Associate / Senior Associate to join our
successful team as we continue to build on our strong position in the
market. You will have previous experience, or an interest in, the
technology and /or retail and consumer sectors and be keen to develop
sector expertise.
We encourage breadth of experience, and we will work with you to
ensure that you have the right spread of work. With a focus on private
M&A, there will be opportunity to be involved in some public
M&A, JVs and corporate advisory matters depending on deal flow at
any given time.
Recent examples of deals include:
Acted as corporate adviser to FTSE listed Frasers Group on
multiple domestic and international transactions (public and private).
Advised Tropic Skincare's Suzie Ma on reclaiming full ownership of
the business, assisting in their 50% buyout from Lord Sugar.
Acting on the acquisition of a global luxury brand of household
goods and jewellery.
Advised the shareholders of Wireless Social, a leading provider of
guest Wi-Fi, analytics and marketing solutions to the UK hospitality sector.
Advised Dellner Polymer Solutions, part of Sweden's Dellner Group,
on its acquisition of high-end engineering supplier Ferrabyrne Ltd,
a YFM Equity Partners backed business.
Advising each of the participating clubs on the formation of
Premier Women's Rugby, the league for professional women's rugby in England.
You will be encouraged and supported to help drive the business and
will have a high degree of autonomy and client involvement. You will
have opportunity to work with our Technology & Media, as well as
Retail & Consumer pillars being a group of cross practice
specialists, operating at the cutting edge within their sectors.
Knowledge, skills and experience
3-6 years of PQE, with a strong grounding in corporate law and in
particular private M&A.
Delivers legal and commercial solutions and establishes
collaborative working relationships with clients and colleagues to
provide an outstanding client experience.
Supports the team to manage the client experience, develops
trusted relationships and interacts with clients confidently to
achieve the best outcome for the client.
Committed to business development to further grow their network
and the practice spotting opportunities and sharing these with the team.
Works efficiently and commercially and understands the importance
of financial hygiene.
Collaborative and works effectively in a team.
Understands how to develop junior team members and support their ambitions.
