The Events team shape and deliver RPC's
event and hospitality programme in the UK in support of RPC's
overarching strategy. The Events team sit within the Brand, Clients
and Markets (BCM) division.
Working closely with wider Events team,
BCM team, Partners and others, the Events Manager
plays a pivotal role in the delivery of events at RPC. Event
management responsibilities are predominantly split between Events
Manager and Hospitality & Events Executive.
Team overview
The Events team manage around 100 events
per annum, in-person and online, for RPC's UK offices (London and
Bristol). The programme includes but not limited to seminars,
conferences and drinks receptions from 40 to 400 delegates. Events
are predominantly held at RPC's Tower Bridge offices and across London.
The Events team also manage around 50
client hospitality fixtures at external venues including rugby,
football and tennis.
In addition to client events, the Events
team is responsible for large-scale internal events, including the
Partner Conference and summer parties.

Duties and responsibilities include but
not are limited to the following:
Develop event briefs in collaboration
with Partners, BCM colleagues and others (location, format, guest
numbers, target audience, budget, catering etc.)
End-to-end project management and
delivery of events
Develop communication plans for events
with BCM colleagues
Work with Client Relationship Management
(CRM) colleagues and Business Development team (BD) to create
invitations and targeted mailing lists
Lead on logistics and execution of the
event management of the firmwide Partner Conference, working closely with the Senior Events Manager
Lead on the logistics and execution of
the annual summer parties for London and Bristol, working closely
with the Senior Executive Office Manager
Keep abreast of the latest developments
in event management and client entertainment
Maintain the Events hub (intranet) to
ensure the firm has easy access to a rich,
varied, and modern menu of event and entertainment options
Monitor Events team mailbox and action
accordingly
Work collaboratively with the wider BCM
team to represent and advocate for the brand across the business
Line manage a small team
Knowledge, skills, and experience
At least three years' experience of
professional services event management
At least two years' experience of people
management
Experience of working in a law firm
environment would be a distinct advantage
Educated to degree level, desirable but
not essential
Able to draw on marketing knowledge
built from a variety of experiences across different organisations
