As an Adaptive consultant, you will be fully supported by the Simmons & Simmons team with a sponsoring Partner and a client team with whom we would encourage you to engage on a regular basis. You will have access to the firm's resources and know- how and have the opportunity to be involved in training and development at the Firm.

Main purpose of the role:

Simmons Adaptive are keen to hear from interim consumer credit lawyers who are available for a 12-month assignment at one of our clients.

The focus of this assignment is to be a support to the Consumer Lending business whilst also possibly working on other unsecured regulated products.

This is a broad and varied assignment and will ask the consultant to advise on end-to-end product support, core strategic projects and advise on relationships with debt collection agents and aggregators.

Person specification:

  • Qualified Solicitor
  • Significant consumer credit experience including: CCA, CONC, FSMA and RAO and consumer protection law relevant to personal loans
  • Some experience in data protection and debt sale contracts is preferable but not an essential
  • Previous consumer credit experience from a financial institution
  • Ability to work autonomously but also collaborate effectively as part of the wider team
  • Ability to build effective networks with partners and others in the business
  • Always apply a growth mindset and strive for excellence
