This is a 12 month Maternity Cover contract.

The role:

This role sits in the wider IT Infrastructure team, which is globally accountable for leading the End User computer team, the design, implementation and 3rd line support of Simmons & Simmons's core IT infrastructure. It is a split role: 50% TL roles and responsibilities and 50% as senior infrastructure engineer.

The Team Leader will have primary responsibility for ensuring that the service provided to its customers by their team conforms with the agreed targets, processes, procedures and guidelines and is in line with the agreed Key Performance Indicators and is judged to be 'best practice'.

This will include, but not be limited to, the management of staff so that they are motivated and deliver high levels of service.

The Team leader will be also expected to perform tasks and duties related to the development, administration and distribution of applications/packages, builds and updates using SCCM in a Windows 10/Office 365 environment, as well as undertaking other 3rd line support and development activities and projects delivery.

What will you do:

Main duties and responsibilities (Team Leader):
• Delegate duties and tasks within the IT department.
• Review completed tasks to ascertain compliance with standards.
• Monitor all team members and provide necessary advice and guidance.
• Perform periodic risk assessments and initiate risk control strategies.
• Coach all team members and motivate them to produce desired results.
• Organize regular seminars and trainings to teach team members new techniques and methods.
• Keep up with trends in the constantly evolving information technology industry

Main duties and responsibilities (Senior Infrastructure Engineer):
• Manage Task sequences, OS images, driver packages and boot images
• Troubleshooting remote site build deployments with the assistance of regional IT and non-IT staff
• Maintain SCCM environment (roles, permissions, SCCM client settings, distribution points heath across the firm, SCCM upgrades, MDT and ADK upgrades.)
• Maintain the Windows feature and security update deployment process using SCCM
• Repackage (MSI/MST/MSP) applications/packages using AdminStudio/InstallShield
• SCCM application/package creation and deployment using collections and AD groups

What we are looking for:

Education/Experience/Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science/or equivalent demonstrable professional experience
• Vendor qualifications related to the technologies or suppliers within scope, such as Microsoft, ITIL, etc.
• At least 5 years' experience in a technical EUC analyst type role
• At least 2 years' experience in a team leader role

Knowledge and technical skills:
• 3+ years' experience application packaging
• 3+ years' experience designing and integrating new solutions in a large-scale enterprise environment
• 2+ years' experience using SCCM for remote software distribution (including package creation and deployment), push technology for anti-virus agents and signature files, software patches, remote control, and remote administration of workstations
• 2+ years of experience developing and deploying unattended operating system installations for workstations/desktops/laptops with an in-depth understanding of hardware-independent imaging capabilities
• Strong technical knowledge of Windows 7/10, MS Office 2010/2016, Office 365, Active Directory
• Experience troubleshooting and enhancing desktop security and configuration management through system registry, file system security, Group Policy Objects (GPO) and the ability to create custom policies
• 2+ years scripting & automation experience utilizing a variety of languages such as batch, PowerShell, Visual Basic Scripting or other programming languages
