The role

Client facing role focussed on accelerating speed of revenue growth by identifying and creating client value and spotting and converting opportunities across a cluster of peer clients with a UK focus.

Will also involve supporting the execution of the broader global client strategy by contributing to initiatives and projects.

Key components of role include:

  • Relationship acceleration: work collaboratively with Client Partner/s and core client team/s to accelerate UK revenue by shaping and delivering a strategy to enable identification and conversion of opportunities then cross-selling this to peers. Success in the role will involve getting accounts to a point where we are servicing the client/s across all our practice areas and product and service lines (where relevant) in the UK.
  • Revenue and profitability growth: lead a client team in delivery of a bespoke set of revenue and profitability growth targets set in discussion with the Client Partner/s, in line with the firmwide business plan. Progressively increase the client revenue streams and share of wallet and profitability, by delivering outstanding value to the client. Responsible for maintaining and improving the financial health of clients.
  • Smarter selling: Leveraging efficiencies to deliver financial results at speed whilst incorporating a client centric external approach involving understand the client's business and what the client values so we can anticipate and respond to the client's needs. Where inroads are made working with Sector Heads to cascade to other client relationships, contributing to broader sector and firm growth.

What will you do:

  • Set and deliver client relationship acceleration strategy for responsible account/s: Develop client insights through financial analysis to drive strategic action and demonstrate results.
  • Speed to market: ensure we are front and centre with client when opportunities present
  • Cross-selling: Identify and convert mandates and opportunities across peer clusters. Contribute to growth of a group of clients in line with our sector strategy.
  • Strategic analysis: leverage your understanding of how and where the firm can best position itself in relation to the account in view of client strategy, client structures, revenue and profitability (including gap analysis), relationship mapping, market share, competitor activity, developments in the client's markets and client needs analysis to deliver returns.
  • Direct engagement: engage in regular discussions with the client about their strategy and business issues and leverage these to identify, position and convert opportunities.
  • Feedback: proactively seek feedback at all levels from the client to spot opportunities and threats and improve service performance. Share insights with internal account stakeholders and Client Listening team and leverage these to identify, position and convert opportunities.
  • Communication: efficiently manage the communication and information flow for greatest impact and results. Ensure the team is joined up and going to the client as a bench.
  • Coach: coach associates to demonstrate smarter selling competencies to drive results.
  • Secondments: ensure ROI for any secondment placements and leverage this asset to deliver results.
  • Consistent quality: work with fee-earners to ensure we consistently get the basics right and follow client guidelines.
  • Pitching / panel submissions: Lead on strategically aligned pitching opportunities
