Job Title Supervising Associate - Real Estate Finance
Department Financial Markets
Role Associate
Job Location London
Description

Our UK Banking group delivers commercial, efficient advice on complex national and international banking & finance transactions.

We cover a diverse range of markets and clients, the common features being the negotiation, structuring (or restructuring) and documentation of commercial loan transactions for lenders and borrowers. We advise on deals ranging in size from small business loans for start-up companies to syndicated credit facilities in excess of £1 billion. Our lawyers work as part of cross-practice, cross-border teams on complex, multi-jurisdictional transactions.

We stand for quality, responsiveness and market knowledge and we are proud of our panel positions with many of the leading national and international financial institutions.

Real Estate Finance

We are Real Estate Finance industry specialists, with 5 specialist REF partners and over 40 lawyers contributing to our UK REF Group. We have responded to client requirements and have English-law qualified lawyers in our Dutch, German, Italian and French offices, alongside a network of local REF specialists in our European offices.

The group acts for a range of participants in the UK REF market. We are on the panels of the top 5 UK retail banks and the top 10 investment banks. We act for the major insurance lenders, alternative lenders/debt funds, private wealth divisions, and investment banks, in addition to a growing number of investors, developers and other borrower clients.

The team advises on all types of real estate investment and development financings across all asset classes, including office and retail properties and "alternative" asset classes. The group is also active in the "operating" assets market, covering healthcare, logistics, serviced offices, data centres, build to rent and retirement living. Our success is illustrated by our appointment to the WeWork panel and the recent hire of Kirsty Barnes, an expert on data centre financings.

As a leader in the real estate finance field, the practice acts for banks, borrowers, funds, mezzanine lenders, issuers, arrangers and rating agencies on a local and cross-border basis in Europe, the Middle East and South East Asia.
