The role:
This key role within the Business Systems Support team provides
on-going support and development of the firm's Business Systems
(notably Dynamics AX, Intapp Time, Chrome River and Team Seer). The
individual will be required to gain an excellent understanding of the
functionality of the firm's Business Systems and the processes they
underpin to enable them to provide high quality support to the Firms
global users. This will encompass all areas of the firm from Business
Support (Finance, Risk and HR) to fee earners and secretaries.
What will you do:
• Support and improvement of current business applications used by
the firm • Undertaking financial administration and internal
audits • Assisting with analysis, design, development and testing
of new business systems and enhancements e.g. upgrades, new
functionality, and modules • Performing initial analysis to
assess the quality of the data to then advise possible
solutions • Working on data migration & cleansing projects
linked to various business application used within the firm •
Continue to build effective relationships with key users • Month
End - adhere to the agreed month end timetable, providing guidance and
assistance to the global finance user community
What we are looking for:
Knowledge and technical skills: • Hands-on experience working with ERP systems (Dynamics AX
knowledge would be an advantage) • The ability to analyse, model
and interpret the business data. • Experienced with various
tools and techniques applicable to breaking down problems, formulating
solutions, and tracking and prioritising risks and issues • Able
to work with user groups to break down loosely defined requirements
into actionable facts • Excel skills to Intermediate level
(Atlas/MS Power Query knowledge would be an advantage)
General Skills: • Ability to work under pressure at high levels of
performance • Strong analytical skills • Self-motivation and
commitment, as well as enthusiasm • Effective time management and
prioritisation of work • Able to work effectively as part of a
diverse and inclusive team • High degree of professionalism and
accuracy in work • Effective at building and sustaining
relationships across all levels of the organisation, both within IT
and beyond
Other requirements: • Flexibility and a willingness to work additional hours on
occasion as required. As Simmons & Simmons is an international
business, some working outside of normal U.K. hours (for example, to
lead project meetings with international groups), or overseas travel,
may be necessary.
