Description
We are currently recruiting for a Paralegal to join our Litigation
department based in our London office.
Group Overview:
Our dispute resolution team does more than advise on the law. We
offer strategic business thinking and a clear point of view, rooted in

Our integrated international network enables us to tackle complex
multi-jurisdictional cases - like our work advising the US Department
of Justice's appointed Monitor in the global Volkswagen emissions scandal.
Our partners lead from the front, on arbitration, patent litigation,
brand infringements and financial markets litigations, as well as
crime, fraud and investigations.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Analysing, collating and summarising large quantities of information;
Researching points of law and other factual issues and preparing
reports on the same;
Collating and organising bundles of documents for disclosure,
witness statements or exhibits
Providing general administrative support to fee-earners including
proof reading
Working with the Practice Support & eDiscovery team to
organise and manage disclosure exercises, including document
management and review.
Working on various stages of disclosure exercises including
collating, organising and reviewing documents for relevance and
privilege, flagging important documents to fee-earners, identifying
legal issues, providing detailed case information/knowledge,
preparing disclosure lists
Court duties including filing payments and even applications
before Practice Masters. These require knowledge of court workings
and CPR rules and forms to assist with any queries about appropriate
forms and how they should be filled, court fees, procedure, etc.
Managing documents/files in Relativity or the firms DealRoom platform
Person specification:
Education/Experience:
Law graduate with a first or upper second class degree or equivalent
Previous paralegal experience from a law firm (preferred)
Experience using litigation support databases (ideally Relativity)
Technical Skills/Knowledge:
Excellent IT skills, including Outlook, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint
and Excel
A highly organised and methodical approach to the role as well as
confidence with IT systems
Attention to detail and the confidence to work independently as
well as in a team
Highly motivated and commercially astute
Excellent communication and organisational skills
The ability to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high
level of accuracy
Self motivated, hardworking, reliable and works well under pressure
