The role:

The A2J intern reports to the Senior Pro Bono Lawyer and assists with directing and managing the firm's A2J Programme.

Th successful candidate will be hired on a six month fixed term contract in the first instance.

The deadline for applying for the role is 5pm on Monday 23 May.

What will you do:

  • Supporting the senior pro bono lawyer with all aspects of the A2J Programme.
  • Liaising with relevant stakeholders.
  • Assisting with onboarding new pro bono clients and case allocation.
  • Expanding the pool of internal volunteers through relevant communications.
  • Contributing to both internal and external communications.
  • Assisting with dissemination, communication, and training regarding the A2J Programme.
  • Maintaining records of A2J matters and producing reports when required.
  • Broaden internal engagement.

  • Excellent academics.
  • Commercially driven.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a diverse and inclusive team.
  • Flexibility and a willingness to work additional hours on occasion as required.
  • Have a good understanding and awareness of social welfare issues preferably to include an understanding of social welfare law and the impact of poor administrative decision making.
  • Experience with working with a variety of stakeholders from diverse sections of society.
  • Extremely organised with an ability to prioritise.
  • An interest in wider systemic issues and administrative justice.
  • An ability to engage with vulnerable pro bono clients.
