We are currently seeking a Senior
Accounts Receivable Accountant to join our Central Administration
team based in Cleveland. The person who fills this role will be
responsible for analyzing General Ledger accounts and reports with a
primary focus on the Firm's client accounting and other Sub-Ledger
accounts; coordinating the client billing, collection, and payments
for the Firm; assisting with annual audit; and performing additional
analysis projects for the Financial Accounting Operation on a
regular basis.
Responsibilities include:
Develops a comprehensive
understanding of the Firm's Financial Accounting system, including
the client maintenance, reporting and inquiry functions.
Helps to monitor client billing and
receipts to ensure timely and accurate postings, assisting Client
Accounting Specialists when necessary.
Responds to Attorney, Client
Service Representative and Secretary questions relating to time
entry, the processing of bills, client payments, e-billing and
informational requests regarding same. Assists in the
investigation and resolution of lockbox issues, unidentified
client receipts and client credit and disbursement issues.
Maintains partner draw information and communicates draw releases
to Payroll and participates in month end processing, including
pre-bill selection and the preparation of reports.
Reconciles Sub-Ledger accounts to
the General Ledger.
Prepares journal entries and client
Pre-bills to facilitate monthly closing.
Prepares actual/budget variance
analysis as requested.
Performs additional analysis
projects for the Controller on a regular basis.
Qualified candidates must have an
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; four years
of accounting and financial analysis experience, including accounts
receivable and billing functions; or equivalent combination of
education and experience. We require excellent verbal and written
communication skills and excellent customer service skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including MS Excel, is required.
Familiarity of Aderant Expert is beneficial.
