The Columbus office of Squire
Patton Boggs is currently seeking a full-time Paralegal in our
Trusts and Estates practice.
Responsibilities
Principal responsibilities include
the financial, accounting and tax aspects of the administration of
estates and trusts, as well as certain aspects of financial and tax
planning for individuals. The work includes the preparation of
probate forms, title transfer documents (deeds, certificates of
transfer, etc.), banking, financial analysis, review of investment
statements, preparation of accounts and the preparation of estate
and gift tax returns.
Academic and Professional Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and/or Paralegal
Certificate are preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Excellent oral and written
communication skills.
Excellent math skills and number
sense.
Experience and comfort with
Microsoft Office and also with standard tax return preparation and
estate/trust accounting software.
Ability to strictly maintain
client confidences.
Ability to work collaboratively.
Effectiveness in client interaction.
Ability to juggle numerous
client matters at one time.
Familiarity with probate
processes and filings.
Some financial awareness and savvy.
Ability to interact effectively
with clients' other service providers (accountants, brokers,
bankers, etc.).
