Description
We're looking for a HR Business Partner (known internally as HR
Business Manager) to join our Human Resources team on a 12-month
fixed-term contract, based in Leeds but with regular travel across our
UK offices.
You will be joining our supportive and friendly HR team who are
focussed on providing the best possible service to our clients, both
internal and external. You'll be CIPD qualified and an established HR
Business Partner or an Assistant HR BP who is ready to take the next
step in your career. We're a global law firm so you'll ideally have
experience of working in the legal sector or wider professional services.

Our Team and What We Do
Our UK HR team consists of our core generalist HR team (responsible
for our UK fee earners, support staff and secretarial staff
populations), Projects, Learning & Development, Recruitment,
Payroll, and Rewards & Benefits.
Our Opportunity
You will be responsible for the support departments for the UK and
will work closely with the office, chiefs and directors to provide HR
advice, implement HR policies and deliver HR plans. Due to the busy
and proactive nature of this team, you will begin building lasting
relationships with leadership, employees and colleagues from the
outset, so you must have good interpersonal skills and be eager to be
a valued part of a team. You'll also be proactive in responding to
challenges in the employment markets and keeping up to date with new
labour laws.
You'll be forward thinking, using HR metrics to improve efficiencies,
promoting employee engagement and developing HR action plans.
You
You'll have experience of dealing with complex ER cases, as well as
organisational development, talent management, change management and
stakeholder management.
You'll work closely with leadership and therefore must be confident
in dealing with internal and external stakeholders and clients and
have the ability to drive change in a partnership, whilst juggling key
stakeholder priorities. Confident, with the ability to challenge
constructively, combined with a level of resilience. Building
relationships with stakeholders is a key element to this role.
You'll be commercially aware with great business acumen, proactive in
adding value to the business, with a positive can-do attitude. You
will be used to working in a busy environment where you have to deal
with multiple competing demands and tight deadlines. You'll also have
strong financial acumen and the ability to understand and interpret
complex budgetary and performance data to influence decisions.
