Our Team

You will be part of the London Secretarial team providing secretarial support to partners and associates with a focus on the Financial Services practice. You'll also be expected to provide support to the wider office and national locations as and when required. You'll be reporting into the London Secretarial Services Manager.

Our Opportunity

This role would be ideal for someone who has worked in a professional services environment and has undertaken a role as an Administration Assistant or a Junior Secretary.

You'll conduct client and matter inceptions, undertake in-depth billing and have involvement in some documentation work (with support by our Document Services team). You'll be dealing with expenses, arranging travel and supporting the team on their daily admin to include time recording, diary management and inputting on the firm's BD database whilst generally getting involved in the daily tasks of a busy law firm.You'll also be responsible for the filing and archiving for the team including electronic filing for partners.

You must have a positive and professional approach at all times.

As this is a varied role, you'll need to be an organised, proactive individual who can easily prioritise. You'll need to have the flexibility to assist other departments when required. You should also be able to use your initiative and spot where help is needed with limited supervision.

You'll also have the ability to juggle competing priorities. You will need to be confident in working with our billing and client inception systems.

As you will be dealing with clients of the firm, excellent communication skills are key for this role. Ideally you'll have good knowledge of all Microsoft packages along with strong keyboard skills, a quick typing speed and a good eye for detail are a must.

You will have at least 3 years' experience of working in a professional service firm.
