Description
We're looking for an enthusiastic HR Assistant to join our HR Support

wants to develop as a HR generalist within an international law firm.
You will be joining our supportive and friendly HR team who are
focussed on providing the best possible service to our clients, both
internal and external. This role will allow you to get involved in
many aspects of the HR generalist function. We are looking for someone
with a good academic background, who has the ability to be
solution-focused and stay organised under pressure. You will also have
previous work experience in HR administration.
Our Firm
Squire Patton Boggs is one of the world's strongest integrated law
firms, committed to providing insight at the point where law, business
and government meet. We deliver commercially focused business
solutions to a diverse mix of clients, from long-established leading
corporations to emerging businesses, start-up visionaries and
sovereign nations.
With over 1,500 lawyers spanning more than 40 offices across four
continents, the firm is renowned for its local connections and global
influence, delivering comprehensive legal services across North
America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific, and Latin America. In
the UK, we have offices in Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and London.

working environment. Embedded by local champions in each of our UK

programmes provide a variety of flexible working options to support
individuals' life journeys, helping our people pursue their personal
and professional goals.
Our Team
Our UK HR team consists of our core generalist HR team (responsible
for our UK fee earners, support staff and secretarial staff
populations), Projects, Learning & Development, Recruitment,
Payroll, and Rewards & Benefits. The HR Assistant will be aligned
to the Reward & Benefits Manager, but also work closely with the
wider HR team.
Our Opportunity
You will provide high quality support to the HR team and internal
clients, with an emphasis on the processing of HR data, management
information and entering data into the HR system. You will be involved
at every step along the employee lifecycle - from recruitment and
induction, through to the departure process. You will work closely
with HR Assistants in other locations and will therefore provide cover
when required.
This position will play a key role in supporting this busy department
with tasks such as processing starters, leavers and employment
changes, absence tracking and managing our central HR inbox and phone
line. Due to the busy and proactive nature of this team, you will
begin building lasting relationships with our employees and colleagues
from the outset, so you must have good interpersonal skills and be
eager to be a valued part of a team.
We recognise hard work and commitment; and in return, we will give
you the opportunity to develop and gain valuable experience from
across our HR offering.
You
You will have at least 6 months experience working in a HR
Administrator, HR Assistant or similar position, ideally within a
large multi-site organisation. Experience of working with a HR
database is essential. You will also be experienced in using Microsoft
Word, Outlook and Excel.
You will be used to working in a busy environment where you have to
deal with multiple competing demands and tight deadlines. You will
have the ability to organise, communicate effectively and work on your
own initiative, whilst knowing when to seek guidance and supervision.
You will need to have great interpersonal skills, which will allow you
to work well within this team.
