Description
Are you an experienced receptionist with exposure to supporting
internal and external events? We're looking for an enthusiastic and
professional receptionist to join our Business Operations team in our
Manchester office on a part-time basis (Thursdays and Fridays). We
need a positive, polite and smart individual with a 'can-do' attitude
and organised approach.

Our Team
As part of a team of receptionists, you will be dealing with people
of all levels from support staff to Partners and both internal and
external clients. The team work on a rota basis to maintain cover
between 7.30am and 6.00pm, therefore flexibility and proven experience
of working effectively in a team is essential. There may be an
occasional requirement to support evening events that would require
working beyond 6pm.
Our Opportunity
In this role, you'll not only be responsible for meeting and greeting
visitors but also carrying out a wide range of receptionist duties.
You'll be undertaking a number of PC based tasks including booking
meeting rooms and maintaining the flow of reception emails. You will
be dealing with a busy switchboard, transferring calls to all UK
offices, so strong communication skills and professional telephone
manner are key.
The role will also require you to work alongside the Events Manager
and wider Business Development and Marketing team, and be involved in
pre-event planning and logistics, liaising with relevant contacts on
site including maintenance, catering and IT to ensure rooms and spaces
are set up efficiently and correctly.
You'll also be responsible for maintaining the reception area,
issuing passes to all visitors and ensuring all services are provided
in accordance with the agreed service levels.
This can be a busy role where you will be given the opportunity to
take ownership of client problems and help to resolve them. You will
often be managing reception on your own therefore you must be well-organised.
14 hours per week across Thursday and Friday on a shift rota
between 7.30am and 6.00pm
You
You will understand the importance and intricacies of client
relationships and this will be reflected in your professional and
confidential approach to your work. You will have excellent
communication and English language skills and be able to liaise with
stakeholders of all levels clearly and confidently. Attention to
detail is critical as well as excellent telephone and PC skills.
On busier occasions there will be a high level of pressure, therefore
you must be able to stay calm at all times. You'll need to be
methodical, well-organised and be able to handle multiple tasks at
once. This role is a busy and dynamic one where flexibility may be
needed if overtime is required.
In order to be successful you will have a minimum of one years'
experience, ideally within professional services.
