Description

The Los Angeles office of Squire Patton Boggs (US) LLP, a global law firm, seeks a paralegal for our Litigation Practice Group with a minimum of 3 years of litigation experience. This position will support the litigation/products liability/lemon law practice. Additional essential functions of the position are:

Academic/Professional Qualifications :

  • Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate or equivalent work experience

Knowledge Skills and Experience:

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of litigation experience
  • Product Liability and Lemon Law experience a plus
  • Trial experience, a plus
  • Paralegal certificate or work equivalent required
  • Knowledge of state and federal rules
  • Ability to prepare complaints and other pleadings
  • Ability to prepare documents, forms, declarations and exhibits for attorneys
  • Prepare discovery requests and responses
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong proofreading, grammar and organizational skills
  • Prior experience summarizing medical records, a plus
  • Possess strong technical and computer capabilities
  • Capable of multi-tasking with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Must be able to work beyond 40 hours on occasion

The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on skills and experience. We offer a professional and friendly work environment with competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, life, 401(k) and many other excellent benefits.
