to join our global Research Services team, to be based in Manchester.
You'll need to be a methodical and analytical
individual with excellent interpersonal skills, in order to serve a
wide range of internal clients. Previous experience in an
administrative role would be beneficial.

Our Team
Our Research Services department is a global team
providing services to internal fee-earners and staff with the
resources, support, expertise and advice on how to perform whichever
research task they may have. They also produce information and
alerting products for the firm's clients.
From a UK perspective, they have a dedicated team who
service our 4 UK offices. The team work in a decentralised way but
also have some specific responsibility to their own office.
Globally, they also cooperate closely and provide help and support
to offices outside of the UK and to Research teams in other jurisdictions.
Our Opportunity
In this role, you will assist with all aspects of the
Research Services function, working as part of the firm's Research
team to ensure the delivery of a high quality, continuously
improving, customer focussed, cost efficient research service to
Partners, fee-earners and other staff, in line with business-driven
requirements.
General administration and basic research tasks will be
key components of your responsibilities as will handling enquiries
from across the firm. Day to day, you'll provide colleagues with
support on a range of tasks, including online research, document
research, business information, print resources, copyright,
recovering and billing online costs, delivering client-focused
research solutions.
You will report into the Director of Research Services
and have daily supervision from a Senior Researcher.

As this is a fast-paced role, you'll need to have a
methodical and analytical approach and have the ability to take
ownership of client problems through to resolving them. You will
have the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines as well as
critical attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills are a
must, and you will need to be able to express yourself confidently
and coherently when dealing with a range of clients. You will be a
team player who demonstrates flexibility to working on your own and
as a part of a team.
Experience using a Library Management System and/or
demonstrable experience of administrative skills are desirable, as
is experience of working in a customer-focussed organisation.
You will be educated to A-Level as a minimum and will
have strong MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) knowledge/skills. You
should be able to portray a positive image towards clients.
