Squire Patton Boggs (US) LLP seeks a Litigation Associate with a
minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, ideally including
commercial and healthcare litigation, to join our Cincinnati office.
The individual hired for this position will support our healthcare
litigation practice, but will also gain exposure to our wider
commercial litigation matters. The successful applicant will be
responsible for handling many aspects of litigation and arbitration,
including preparing pleadings, assisting with complex e-discovery,
drafting dispositive motions, conducting research, drafting memoranda
and correspondence, attending hearings, preparing for depositions, and
assisting with trial preparations and trial/final arbitration hearings.
Academic and Professional Qualifications
Must be admitted to practice in Ohio, or prepared to immediately gain
admission in Ohio.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Experience working on sophisticated civil litigations in the state
and federal courts, and/or in arbitrations or other alternative
dispute resolution.
Ideally, experience navigating complex health care regulatory
environments, including laws impacting reimbursement under
government health care programs a plus.
Ideally, experience representing managed care organizations and/or
handling payor-provider disputes a plus.
Superior research and analytical abilities.
Excellent legal writing skills.
Ability to work independently and take initiative.
