Are you an experienced Environment, Safety & Health (ES&H)
lawyer looking to step away from full-time fee-earning, whilst
remaining at the cutting edge of the legal profession? Or are you a
Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) looking for your next challenge?
Our ES&H team are looking for a PSL who will be dedicated to
providing a number of key services to fee-earner colleagues within the
practice group. The role will require some interaction with clients
and professional bodies, but also colleagues at all levels, with a
focus on our UK and European offices.

Our ES&H practice work on some of the leading-edge matters in the
field. You would be joining a team that is recognised as one of the
premiere ES&H groups among leading international law firms. We
develop creative and sophisticated strategies and solutions to the
most complex ES&H challenges faced by our clients across the globe.
We have comprehensive expertise in all substantive areas of ES&H
law and regulation, with experienced lawyers practicing throughout the
UK, United States, Western and Eastern Europe, Latin America and the
Middle East.
We represent a diverse client base, with particular strength in iron
and steelmaking, mining, transportation, chemical manufacturing and
distribution, petroleum refining and distribution, pulp and
papermaking, energy, municipal utilities, development and
environmental services.
Our group excels in handling complex litigation, including challenges
to new rules, defense of enforcement actions, advancement and defense
of cost recovery actions, defense of multiparty and class action toxic
tort actions and other environmental, safety and health litigation.

utilise your in-depth legal knowledge to promote and instil technical excellence.
You will take the lead providing a vital service within key areas
including training, research, and knowhow. As this is a highly
technical and ever-evolving area of law, you will be responsible for
managing and contributing to our databases, updating precedents and
knowledge management systems. You will build your external network
within the industry, ensuring we are at the forefront of all legal and
legislative developments that may affect our clients. The role will
also involve opportunities to work closely with our BD and marketing
teams, to provide a value added service to existing and prospective
clients through a range of training and knowledge sharing initiatives.
You'll have opportunities to work on cross-border matters,
collaborating closely with our overseas teams on a range of
international work. You will support on business development
initiatives including knowledge management for clients, assistance
with client pitches from a knowledge management/value add perspective,
preparing and disseminating tailored updates to clients and
identifying key horizon issues to help attract clients and cement
existing relationships, assisting with legal directory submissions.
You
You will ideally be a minimum of 5 years' PQE, qualified to practise
in an EU jurisdiction, or England & Wales, with a proven ability
to effectively articulate, communicate and explain new areas of law to
a wide range of stakeholders, including the ability to interact with
and be accessible to people at all levels from trainees to partner.
You will have strong organisational and time management skills, which
are key to providing an outstanding service to our clients and colleagues.
Our ES&H practice spans a number of disciplines, including Health
& Safety; Environment; ESG; products law and recall; chemical,
biocides and pesticides regulation; and corporate criminal defence.
Experience across a number of these key areas is preferable.
You must possess strong IT skills to conduct effective research and
dissemination of information using various online systems. If you are
