Description
Squire Patton Boggs is one of the world's strongest integrated legal

and global influence, delivering comprehensive legal services across
North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific, and Latin America.
We are searching for a qualified Proofreader to join our Global
Business Development and Marketing team. The proofreader will review
marketing materials supplied by lawyers and business development
colleagues including internal and external communications, print
materials, electronic mailings, and content for the firm's website,
among many other materials for publication. The proofreader will check
that all content adheres to the firm's editorial style guidelines and
ensure content is grammatically correct and consistent.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Responding to email inquiries to edit and proofread required
marketing and business development content
Checking marketing materials for spelling, grammar, sense, and consistency
Maintaining an appropriate tone in writing and adhering to the
firm's editorial style guidelines
Offering editorial input by raising editorial queries and
suggesting rewording where necessary
Proofreading content for the firm's website, including
proofreading and updating lawyer bios on the website
Adhering to strict deadlines, ensuring that they are met and
tracking content through the editorial process
We require a high school diploma and one year of related experience
and/or training. The candidate must be highly skilled in written
English, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation (and be able to
work in both US and UK English). The ideal candidate must be
scrupulous about detailed work with the ability to stay focused
throughout an entire document, which may be long and technical, having
good judgement to gauge which changes are necessary.
