Squire Patton Boggs is currently
seeking a highly motivated associate to join its national
Environmental, Safety & Health practice in its Denver office.
Responsibilities
Assisting with handling
environmental regulatory, compliance, enforcement and
transactional matters and all substantive areas of complex litigation.
Provide high-level counsel to
clients on federal and state environmental law and compliance issues.
Academic and Professional Qualifications
U.S. Juris Doctor Degree
Admitted to practice in a U.S.
State Bar and be in good standing. Admission to the State Bar of
your office location is expected if not currently admitted.
Federal clerkship preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Qualified candidates will have at
least 2 years of experience with environmental or energy law,
including, compliance counseling or litigation, including
litigation before state and federal courts and administrative
tribunals, and/or transactional support.
Industry experience in petroleum
land management, environmental science or engineering required.
Excellent research, writing and
verbal communications are required, as well as strong
organizational and time management skills.
Flexibility, composure and the
ability to prioritize and handle urgent tasks and requests
simultaneously with a high level of competence and accuracy.
Ability to remain composed and
professional under stressful circumstances.
Sensitivity to ethical and
confidentiality requirements.
Active in formulating and
recommending projects or alternative ways to complete projects
that will benefit the case/client.

The salary range for this position is
$212,500-$247,500 per year, depending on skills and experience.We
