The opportunity

This is a full-time on-site role as an Office Manager at Bird & Bird IP Services located in Istanbul. Aside from day-to-day administrative tasks, the Office Manager will be responsible for the general running of the office including providing HR, IT, finance and facilities support. day-to-day administrative tasks, providing communication support, managing office equipment and supplies, and delivering excellent customer service. This role would suit someone experienced with smaller start up environments in Turkey, who is flexible and hands on. We are particularly interested in candidates with HR experience.

The team

Bird & Bird IP Services provides global administrative support services in the Intellectual Property area. A small local team has been established which is provides day-to-day support to an international law firm. Bird & Bird IP Services is headquartered in the UK and candidates will require excellent English and Turkish language skills. This team will not be providing services to domestic Turkish clients nor services or advice in relation to Turkish Intellectual Property.

What you'll do

The main duties and responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to the following:

  • HR: assist with recruitment, produce offer letters and contracts, keep records updated, develop local policies and procedures as required, maintain confidential information.
  • Finance: day-to-day running of operational finance aspects of the office including payroll and reporting.
  • General administration: manage day-to-day general operation of the office and handle local purchasing of office supplies.
  • IT: aid in the general day-to-day running of the office equipment and be a point of contact between the office and the London IT team.

  • Fluency in English is a must
