The Technology team exists to support
the firm in operating its business. The Technology team and
Technology Systems are fundamental to the firm's business and must
support the firm in achieving its strategic objectives: but the
Technology Systems, and in particular the Technology Department,
also must reflect the way the firm wishes to be seen by clients and
other third parties and wishes to treat all its staff.

the mission of the Travers Smith Legal Technology team is to
transform the process of law using innovative technology. We are
building services that allow our lawyers to work more efficiently.

The Role
The Travers Smith eDisclosure / eData
team, part of the Technology Team, are partnered with the
departments: Dispute Resolution, Competition, Employment and
Commercial, Technology and IP, supports tasks pre, during and post
the disclosure processes (including advisory and technical working)
on a variety of complex matters.
This is a fixed term contract
(there is a possibility of extension, based on workload). This senior role is to support
queries and general technology related questions with the role
reporting to the eDisclosure /eData Team Lead and work part of the
eDisclosure / eData team, with the Team Lead having responsibility
for planning the role and allocating work, according to the
requirements of the various live and new matters. This role is
hybrid however, this role does require the individual to make effort
to attend the office a minimum of 60%.
Key Responsibilities
To support day-to-day activities
and requests including:
Capacity planning across the team
with guidance from the Lead.
Leading a POD (team members are
split into POD's based on a client conflict) and, supporting other
members within the POD with matter planning, technical issues,
advisory questions, and other project related support.
Clear and concise delegation of
tasks and deadlines to ensure all team members are supported.
Running all levels of matters
across varying practice groups and answering technical questions
and completing technical requirement on assigned matter work.
Engagement with the legal team to
project plan and organise the timeline of matter work.
Direct client interaction and
management under instruction from the Legal team.
Engagement with external providers
and project planning on relevant matters; and
Acting as a link between legal
team/clients, external providers alongside the Executive(s) and
Co-Ordinators helping to prevent errors and ensure clarity,
precision, and mutual understanding.
Monthly support:
Preparation of business and
marketing documentation for new matters.
Continued management and awareness
of all matters supported by the team.
Organising and selecting the right
technology for different data.
Written and verbal advisory to
teams regarding technology, workflow, and cost implications.
QC of supportive documentation to
aid training sessions and practices.
Quotation creation and billing organisation.
QC of production instructions with
the ability to run the disclosure where required; and
Consulting on data / technology
assisted review / client scoping with case management.
Continuous working:
Running and organising meetings
internally and externally for the benefit of matters, clients, or
team development.
Priority driven task maintenance
with clear communication and auditable notes.
Review of training and creation and
delivery of new sessions on a variety of eDisclosure and/or
technology issues for individuals, groups of individuals, matter
teams or the department as a whole; and
Maintaining review procedures for
small, medium, and large matters with varying complexities.
Continue checks to ensure time
recording is accurate for all team members including what has been
recorded individually.

Person Specification -
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Management experience or good
developmental manner to lead and support junior team members.
Minimum 7 years use of review
platforms including Relativity, Axcelerate, Nuix Discover, Everlaw
or DISCO (etc) with knowledge of others.
Certified use of review platforms
including Relativity, Axcelerate, Nuix Discover, BrainSpace, DISCO
etc. in combination of singular.
Professional and consultative
experience during the eDiscovery lifecycle or within legal
operational support.
Good awareness of existing and
emerging technologies, including but not limited to, AI, Document
Verification, Bundling, Court Presentation etc.
Strong experience of working on
litigation/investigations/regulatory matters and Data Subject
Access Requests.
Technical experience of
manipulating data and consulting on best practice for data manipulation.
Strong working knowledge of Data
Management and the implications of GDPR; and
Must have worked in a consultancy,
law firm or professional services firm.
