We are currently seeking suitable candidates to fill several paralegal vacancies which span across our transactional, regulatory, and contentious practice groups each offering unique opportunities and exciting challenges. The specific departments with openings include the following:

The Role

As a paralegal you will be expected to provide support to lawyers and partners within your department. You will proactively contribute to the department and, ultimately, the firm's success by actively seeking to anticipate the needs of the fee earning lawyers and knowledge counsel in the team, in addition to having a full understanding and supporting the crucial administrative processes that help the team function to the best of its ability.

The key responsibilities listed in this job description provide a broad overview of the typical duties of a paralegal. It is important to note however that the role of a paralegal is wide-ranging and varies considerably depending on the specific needs of respective departments, therefore, will likely extend beyond the key responsibilities listed below:

  • A ssist in preparation of documents: create binders, amend documents, print, copy and check, scan and distribute files.
  • Proofread documents for sense, consistency, cross reference, definitions, formatting, and typographical errors.
  • Perform legal and non-legal of factual research using a variety of legal research tools for case law, legislation, commentary, company and business information and practical guidance.
  • Assist with due diligence: review and analyse documents and assist with minor drafting of due diligence reports and contract summaries.
  • Act as the interface, where appropriate, between key internal stakeholders including fee earners in other practice areas, client contacts and other external parties such as opposing counsel and third-party service providers.
  • Provide support to partners, associates, senior associates, and senior counsels.
  • Archive and dispose of documents in line with department protocols.
  • Handling chargeable work, including contacts with clients.
  • Maintaining the departments know-how resources including uploading and correctly labelling and organising documents.
  • Other ad hoc duties where necessary.

Education / Qualifications

  • Law Degree / GDL.
  • LPC
