The Role
This role comes at a very exciting
time for the firm and it's BD Strategy. A renewed focus on purpose
driven BD around pipeline, Client and prospect management means that
there are really interesting opportunities to develop tech-based
solutions for these areas. This will be achieved by utilising low
code workflow technology as well as strengthening our existing data
using 3rd party data suppliers.
The BD Client & CRM Systems Analyst will sit in the Enterprise Systems
and Data (EDS) team, with a reporting line both to Technology and
Business Development & Marketing. This dual reporting line
mirrors successful roles in Central Finance and emphasises the
importance of collaboration between these two departments. The
successful candidate will be able to communicate clearly and
appropriately to both Technical and BD teams. They will translate
requirements from the BD team, and the wider business, into
technical solutions and deliver them, either independently
(following best practice), or with the support of resources within
EDS or the wider Tech teams. This will create opportunities for the
successful candidate to utilise the full breadth of the Applications
used by the firm. Not just our CRM/BD suite but core technologies
like SQL, APIs and applications like Service NOW, Intapp Integrate
and Aderant.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver automations and
efficiencies for important BD data such as credentials, source of
business and referrals, and being able to accommodate feedback
loops to ensure efficient updates to master sources of data, as
well as identifying and proactively delivering improvements.
Support and actively work on the
delivery of the BD System strategy, including CRM data,
integration and reporting.
Work on related CRM products, such
as integrations with mass email marketing channels, and other
third-party systems.
Deliver projects geared to utilising and enhancing
the existing BD system functionality to continuously improve the
delivery of the service provided by the department, including
increased automations.
Create and deliver the projects and work packages
necessary to make progress on the BD systems roadmap, including
the implementation of additional third-party tools.
Able to independently deliver solutions for BD,
marketing, and client reporting requests.
Support and take a key role in the delivery and
management of the BD systems and data.
Work effectively with counterparts at our suppliers,
particularly the BD systems vendors.
Document changes and developments in the systems.
Assist in the continual support and co-ordination of
user acceptance testing of the new system throughout the
development cycle.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
A keen interest in data and
technologies that support business processes.
Experience of managing and working
with CRMs and their backends. Specific legal experience is not
required, but experience of Lexis Nexis InterAction and its data
model an advantage.
Experience of working within low
code workflow technologies is advantageous.
Process mapping and assisting in
the scoping of solutions is important.
Experience of working with SQL for
data model development.
Experience of working with APIs.
Experience of working with
cloud-based solutions.
Experience of building Power Bi
reports and their associated data sources.
Experience building SSRS reports
and associated data sources an advantage.
Experience of applying ITIL best
practices to key processes, including problem management an
advantage.
Experience of backlog management an
advantage.
