The Role
The role will suit an events
executive looking to achieve a greater impact working within a small
team to support the delivery of Travers Smith's events and corporate
hospitality programme. Working closely with colleagues in the
Business Development and Marketing team, you will manage the events
and corporate hospitality process from briefing, through to delivery
and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities
Events
Maintain a firm-wide Events
Schedule and communicate this regularly to partners and other key
stakeholders in the business.
Undertake venue research to create
bespoke proposals for the business according to their requirements
including budget, location, numbers.
Maintain an interest in and keep up
to date with venues and new openings in order to provide guidance
and the best recommendations to the business.
Work with the Front of House and
Client Dining teams to assist with high profile and complex
internal events where required.
Work with colleagues across BD
& Marketing to ensure that all client and external-facing
events are delivered to the highest possible standard.
Create email invitations, compile
invitation lists in InterAction, manage event registrations,
create name badges and attendee lists for client events using
Eventogy software.
Provide on-site staffing of events
at client and internal events, alongside the wider team.
Manage and report on budgets for
all events.
Assist with the production and
shipping of event marketing materials including pop up banners,
signage, handouts.
Maintain the firmwide events
calendar and hospitality tracking sheet.
Update the Events hub page where
necessary.
Corporate Hospitality
Manage the administrative aspects
of the firm's Debentures, including Twickenham and a number of
sporting clubs. This includes managing invitations, ticket
distribution, catering and travel requirements.
Help organise and provide on-site
support for external client hospitality events, such as corporate
golf days and cycle days, as required.
Maintain relationships with the
preferred ticket suppliers, researching best deals and availability.

Experience & Knowledge
Experience of working in an events
role within professional services environment; finance,
accountancy, law.
Proven ability to work
independently, meet multiple tight deadlines and perform well
under pressure.

Strong project management and
problem-solving skills.
Solid copywriting skills.
A natural communicator with the
ability to build and maintain relationships across the firm and beyond.
Proficient in the use of Word,
Excel and PowerPoint and in house intranet software (desirable).
