The Dispute Resolution team holds a strong international presence and

The Role
You will be expected to provide paralegal support and report in the
first instance to the Dispute Resolution Knowledge Lawyers. Beyond
that, and on an ad hoc basis, you may also be expected to provide
paralegal support to other lawyers within the DR department.
Ultimately you will be responsible to the partners within the DR
department. You will proactively contribute to the department and,
ultimately, the firm's success by actively seeking to anticipate the
needs of the DR knowledge team and fee earning lawyers in the DR team,
in addition to having a full understanding and supporting the crucial
administrative processes that help the team function to the best of
its ability.
You will be expected to take responsibility for a varied workload and
to communicate effectively. As well as working directly with the
department's lawyers, you will be working closely with various
non-legal colleagues to ensure a seamless and collaborative support
function is available and adds value to the department.
Key Responsibilities
Know-How Tasks
Monitoring various sources for
legal and regulatory developments in DR.
Maintaining the departments
know-how resources including uploading and correctly labelling and
organising documents.
Monitoring and maintaining the
departments hard copy know-how "sourcebook" materials (e.g.,
ensuring that these are kept current and correctly labelled and organised).
Intranet Management
Monitoring and maintaining the
department's intranet pages (e.g., ensuring the content is up to
date, relevant and branded, in keeping with house styles).
Maintaining know-how and guidance
notes on the intranet (e.g., uploading and correctly labelling and
organising documents on the intranet).
Training and Meetings
Organising the department's
training programme, including liaising with the speakers (both
internal and occasionally external) and ensuring that all
logistics are in place and that materials (prepared by the DR
Knowledge Team and/or fee earners), recordings and training
schedules are uploaded to the intranet after each training session
and kept up to date.
Organising internal and external
training sessions and meetings with service providers.
Business Development Related
Tasks
Assisting with drafting and
research for client briefings and external publications.
Assisting with BD-related tasks
(e.g., collating information for the credential's tracker).
Managing, maintaining, and updating
the Hub.
Legal and Technical Tasks
The DR Knowledge Team would encourage
the Knowledge Paralegal, under relevant supervision, to become
involved in the technical knowledge work undertaken for their own
development, as follows:
Undertaking legal research tasks
for the DR Knowledge Team.
Drafting short-form precedents and
processing less technical updates to DR precedents under
supervision.
Compiling internal data from client work.
Assisting with DR IT projects.
