Travers Smith
An award-winning city law firm. We
build lasting relationships with public and private sector clients.
It is Travers Smith's purpose to provide the very highest quality of
service to our clients whilst enabling our people to achieve
professional fulfilment in a supportive, inclusive, and enjoyable
working environment.
The Role
Reporting to the senior legal products manager, the legal products
specialist will be part of the legal products team responsible for
managing and implementing internally developed and off-the-shelf legal
technology. They will be working with analysts, engineers, and legal
practice groups to understand requirements and enable opportunities to
improve efficiency. Legal product specialists are expected to
collaborate with their peers, lawyers, and legal operations managers
to ensure the highest level of service delivery and project
management. Dealing with third party vendors, building market
knowledge and horizon scanning of emerging legal technologies will
also be crucial to success as well as the ability to drive projects forward.
The firm's clients understand there is an overhead to pay for how
"wisdom" is delivered, however, they are not accepting of
inefficiency nor are they impressed by lawyers working long hours even
if those fees are written off. Technology and artificial intelligence
are increasingly being used by lawyers in the delivery of service to
clients - be it highly efficient information, technology applications
or emerging legal technology services. Due to the firm's size and
culture, the Travers Smith Technology group is uniquely positioned to
transform the daily working of its people by removing friction and
frustration and, at the same time, creating a platform on which to
deliver new products and services. All underpinned by stable, secure,
supported technology services.
The Legal Technology department at Travers Smith is at the forefront
