Department

The Print Services and Digital Production Department support numerous different departments across the firm and are responsible for all scanning, copying and CS/USB creation needs including the finishing of documents. We produce bibles, CDs, USBs, pitch documents, client brochures, place cards, name badges, printing of data sites, large format plans and much more. Within Print Services, there is Records Management, Digital Production and Audio / Visual Support (AV).

The Role

The AV technician is responsible for contributing to the smooth running of the AV function and providing hands on support to both internal and external clients. You will be responsible for supporting our people through internal and external meetings and events including high profile tribunals and board meetings, providing a high level of service, and ensuring that all technologies are functioning as they should. You will work closely with other teams across the business and will take part in briefing calls to provide guidance on best practice from an AV perspective. Reporting to the Senior AV Technician/Team lead, this role will suit a pro-active individual with a hands-on approach to service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting AV problems
  • General Meeting room set up & support
  • Confident at assisting stakeholders (with booking rooms, managing account access, custom room setups, general support work etc…)
  • Managing the AV calendar
  • Strong understanding of MS Teams and MS Teams rooms. (Microsoft 700 training a big plus point).
  • Awareness of Premiere Pro. (Not a must but a big plus point).

Skills, experience & qualifications

  • Time management is excellent.
  • An understanding of customer care and client relationship.
  • Highly driven individual who displays a high degree of initiative.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft teams.
  • Knowledge of AV hardware and connectivity
  • Comfortable providing face to face support to clients under pressure.
  • Basic networking skills
  • Comfortable providing face to face support to clients under pressure.
  • Be able to confidently troubleshoot issues before escalating them.

Personal Specification - Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Ambition to learn ever changing technology.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Planning, set-up, operation, and de-rig of AV equipment for all events from small internal meetings to large high-profile events, both in-person, virtual and hybrid.
  • Liaison with clients in the run up to large events, and assistance throughout events, including last minute requests.
  • Be open to facilitating the organic joining of the AV team and Digital Production (Video).
