The Role

The Print Technician will provide technical assistance, offering guidance and advice on all digital print tasks and the requirements therein. In this role you will provide a clear line of communication between clients and the Print Services team, displaying strong support to both parties in the preparation and execution of large digital requests. Exhibiting a forward-thinking approach and progressive attitude, the role holder will ensure that they and the Print Services team are best equipped to respond to new digital work requests, in conjunction with existing successful processes and adapt accordingly. The role will also allow the successful candidate exposure to Records Management team, wider Technology team and Events & AV/Digital production team.

Key Responsibilities

  • A point of contact for clients and colleagues with digital requests
  • Providing strong advice on the preparation of digital requests
  • Proofing prepared electronic bundles efficiently in accordance with the job requirements
  • Escalating technical issues when required providing full information
  • Documenting digital workflow and data

Other Responsibilities

  • Providing floor support to users away from the Print Services room
  • Fostering strong business relationships with the wider firm
  • Maintenance of our MFD fleet on legal floors
  • Supporting the Records Management function as and when required

Personal Specification - Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to work using own initiative and prioritise conflicting demands
  • Approach problems in an analytical manner
  • Work accurately with excellent attention to detail
  • An understanding of customer care and client relationship.
  • Highly driven individual who displays a high degree of initiative.
  • Familiarity with the aspects of all relevant print hardware and software
  • Experience with electronic bundling from source format to conversion - Knowledge of programs and processes required to finalise digital requests. (Hyperlinking, bookmarking, paginating)
